Practice Valuations

A valuation is a necessity when your thoughts turn to the selling of your practice.  A buyer will place little creditability in the brokers opinion because he has a vested interest in obtaining a higher price as it will increase his commission.  The buyer will place nominal credibility in a value arrived at by the practice owner's accountant because of the preexisting business relationship with the seller.
